Cosmetic Smile Makeover

Cosmetic Dentist in El Paso, TX

There are a lot of reasons why people may not smile with confidence. It may be due to discolored teeth, chipped teeth, crooked teeth, missing teeth, or a combination of all of them!
Whatever the reason, we can help you get a smile you can be proud of, and it may include one or more of the following techniques:

We are here in Northeast El Paso to help you, so when you come for a consultation, you will be able to have a discussion with the dentist about your concerns, what you don’t like about your smile, and what you WANT out of your smile. The dentist will then do an examination of your mouth to assess what needs to be done and what can be done to give you the best results.

Root Canal Treatment

Root Canal in El Paso, TX

Not the dreaded root canal! Root canal treatment often gets a bad rap, but in reality, root canal treatment has saved many teeth from getting extracted or being lost. They have gotten a bad reputation as being a painful procedure, but the truth is that it is due to the extensive damage that the tooth is in so much pain and takes longer to heal.

We often refer to root canal treatment as your “last chance” to save your tooth. Root canal treatment is typically prescribed when decay, infection, or a fracture has gotten so deep into the tooth that it has reached the nerve of the tooth. If your dentist prescribes a root canal treatment, and you choose not to get that treatment done, it is likely that before too long, you will have no choice but to extract that tooth. And often, the options for replacing missing teeth are more expensive or do not provide as much function (chewing ability) as your natural teeth.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening El Paso, TX

Tooth whitening is a technique that allows you to easily and safely have a brighter, whiter smile. We offer two types of whitening – our in-office procedure and our take-home whitening kit.

How does it work?
With our in-office procedure, you will see results right away. It generally takes about two hours. We use a bleaching gel and laser light. You are monitored during the procedure by one of our team members, who will apply the gel, isolating your gums and lips. The light and gel combination whitens your teeth immediately.

Tooth Extractions

Tooth Extraction in El Paso, TX

We always recommend saving your natural teeth through fillings, root canals, and crowns, but if these treatments are no longer an option, it’s time to extract them. Extractions are necessary when the decay or fractures are so extensive that other types of procedures will not be able to save the tooth any longer. Once a tooth is extracted, it is best to find a way to replace that tooth, either with dental implants, bridges, or partial dentures.

Wisdom Teeth Extractions
Wisdom teeth are third molars that appear between the ages of 16 and 25, all the way in the back of the mouth.

Restorative / Fillings

Tooth Fillings in El Paso, TX

Tooth Fillings
A composite (tooth-colored) filling, is used to repair a tooth that is damaged by decay or small cracks. The decayed or cracked portion of the tooth is removed and then replaced by filling material that is similar to the color of the tooth.

Composite fillings are the most common type of filling material used today, but other types of dental fillings are also available. Composite fillings are popular because they closely match the color of your existing tooth, which makes them a great option for work done on your front teeth or other teeth visible when you smile.

Crown and Bridges

Crowns and Bridges in El Paso, TX

The Crown Procedure
Crowns normally take two appointments.

First Appointment: We take impressions and create diagnostic models of your tooth. The area is numbed and the tooth is prepared for the crown by removing any decay or fractured areas and creating the ideal surface for your crown. The impressions and models are sent to a dental laboratory, where your crown is made. While the lab constructs the crown, you will wear a temporary crown made here in the office by either the dentist or a trained dental assistant.

Bridges
The process for a bridge is very similar to that of a crown, it just involves more than a single tooth. Bridges are used to replace a missing tooth between two natural teeth that are still existing (see the photo above).
